The nine destination Casino Hotels and Resorts are now open. The Boardwalk and beaches are open for your enjoyment! The many hotels, retail shops, restaurants, and bars are all following the Five of the city’s nine casinos — Hard Rock, Ocean, Resorts, Tropicana, and Golden Nugget — opened Thursday. Three more — Caesars, Bally’s and Harrah’s — will open Friday. Borgata, the city’s market leader, will stay closed. Illinois has ordered casinos within its borders to close, too. Additionally, Massachusetts has limited hours for its casinos. As of now, Atlantic City casinos are still open for gambling. Murphy might take smaller steps, like shutting down indoor dining, before closing AC casinos altogether. There are nine Atlantic City casinos open. Three are owned by Caesars Entertainment (Caesars sold Bally’s in 2020 but the sale is pending): Bally’s ; Caesars ; Harrah’s; MGM Resorts owns the top-grossing casino-hotel, Borgata. ElDorado Resorts operates the Tropicana Atlantic City after a sale of the property in early 2018.
