Best supermarket for vegetarian/vegan groceries?

Husband and I are trying to introduce some alternatives to our diet, we’ve had Quorn quite a few times and really like it. But I know a lot of supermarkets do their own ranges so I’m asking from personal experience which people find the best?
Any hints or tips would be great. ☺️

Which supermarkets have the best tasting and best value vegetarian/vegan ranges?

I don't eat a lot of meat and when we do, we try and go for free range and good quality products.
I bulk make meals such as veggie curry, daals and chili, freezing portions to have another time. But also stock some quorn or Linda McCartney products for when we want a quick meal and are maybe fancying burgers, sausages & mash or kievs & chips.
Over the last few months, Aldi, where we usually shop seem to be growing their veggie/vegan range. They now even have vegan pizzas, one with 'bacon' and another with bbq jackfruit. I nabbed a bbq jackfruit pizza to shove in the freezer, but only saw the 'bacon' version when the lady next to us on the conveyor belt had one. She had quite a few veggie/vegan items and admitted to nabbing the last 'bacon' pizza. She also recommended the vegan pies in the deli section.
Personally I prefer the texture of Tesco's own veggie mince to that of quorn mince. And the other day I cooked Linda McCartney's 'pulled pork' style burgers for the first time. My other half took a bite and genuinely checked that it wasn't meat!?!? He's now got a new favourite veggie burger.

The Vegan "guerrilla" toolkit I use when debating on Reddit. Thought I'd share.

Hi guys,
with the abundance of Climate Change posts on all, I find myself more and more often debating the facts with people. To speed up my process (I can't write the same thing over and over) I've collected the factual answers to the most common arguments against going Vegan (especially for environmental reasons).
So I figured, why not post these to vegan - to help my fellow people, and maybe get more inspiration and correct my aim?
So here it is, my "toolkit". Please critique and share and use! I have it in a Notes on my computer / phone, so it's just a matter of copy/paste most of the time :)

GLOBAL WARMING INDIVIDUAL & POWERFUL ACTIONS:
  1. Go vegan / reduce your meat consumption. The amount of resources saved with a vegan diet is incredible. If you’re vegan in one year you’ve saved 3.65 tonnes of CO2 compared to a meat eater - and I’m not even touching the water, forest, grain... and ethical impact.
  2. Vote with your wallet - only buy products from companies that are reducing their impact, and adopt the Reuse > Reduce > Recycle mentality.
  3. Vote politicians who understands the problem and have actionable plans in their program.

VEGAN DEEP DIVE (taken from the Vegan Bot of this sub)

It’s incredibly clear now that a meat-based diet is not only not sustainable for the planet ,but also very harmful (Compared to a plant based diet) to the health.
We’re in too deep to be ignoring the facts.
If you’re young or have kids, think about your dietary habits, and how to improve them: you’ll be making your health, and the environment (yours and your kid’s future), a big favour.
Some more sources:
Here's some other useful educational resources to get you started:
If you're intereseted in cutting back on meat, for environmental, health, or ethical reasons, here are some resources**!**
And some great documentaries...

ONLY 100 COMPANIES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR 71% OF EMISSIONS SO MY INDIVIDUAL ACTIONS ARE USELESS DEBUNK:
(note: I've taken most of this from other reddit posts, so apologies if I can't thank the owners anymore!)
Here is the actual study: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-pvpXB8rp67dmhmsueWaUczHS5XyPy4p/view (you can find it somewhere else if you don't trust this).
If you actually do read it, you'll find out:
Every time you drive a car, use electricity, Etc. You are likely burning fuels (or using electricity that had to burn fuels to be produced) from one if those "100 Companies" therefore you are directly adding to the "71% of Emissions".
TL;DR: The whole point of that Study was to try and trace back to which companies Fossil Fuels come from, so more research could be conducted as to what these companies (and state producers) can do to move forward and eventually support/invest in renewable energy, and so more pressure could be put on the biggest Fossil fuel producers (China is biggest in this case) not the smallest.

IF YOU TAKE ONE AIRPLANE YOUR BEING VEGAN IS USELESS, DEBUNKED
Going vegan saves a shit-ton of resources, and if you’re vegan in one year you’ve saved 3.65 tonnes of CO2 compared to a meat eater - and I’m not even touching the water, forest, grain... and ethical impact. London-New York Return flight is 2.1 tonnes , so even if you were taking one intercontinental flight per year, you’d still be offsetting your impact thanks to your diet alone.

NOT HAVING KIDS IS BETTER HAHAHA
Average household size in the US is 2.9 people, with an average of 3 in the whole western world. So preaching "Not to have kids" on Reddit, a forum frequented mostly by westerners, it's just muddying the waters and not talk about the real solutions.

--

BUT CHINA:
China is already investing more in Climate Change actions than most Western countries and surely better than the US:
https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2017/06/how-china-and-us-compare-on-climate-action/
Those aren't even the latest data. But still - why it's always someone else that has to take action? Start with what you CAN change, and inspire others to follow.

Info for UK veggies

Just been to Sainsbury's 'arlow (not been for a couple of weeks so apologies if this is old news) and their vegetarian section has now taken over another upper and lower freezer section! And they have Quorn Vegan ;-) Only the 'pieces' for now but the trend is moving in the right direction, you'll have to agree.
